The first trailer for the upcoming movie 'The Crow' has been released, featuring Bill Skarsgård in the lead role as Eric, a man seeking vengeance after being resurrected from the dead to avenge the murder of himself and his fiancée, Shelly, played by FKA Twigs.

This remake of 'The Crow' comes three decades after the 1994 film that starred Brandon Lee, who tragically passed away at the age of 28 due to an accidental shooting on the set during production in 1993. Both the original movie and the upcoming remake are based on James O’Barr’s 1989 graphic novel.

The storyline of the movie revolves around Eric Draven and Shelly Webster, soulmates who are brutally murdered, leading Eric to seek revenge on their killers by traversing the realms of the living and the dead.

Aside from Skarsgård and Twigs, the cast includes Danny Huston, Isabella Wei, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, and Jordan Bolger. Rupert Sanders directed the film, with Zach Baylin and William Schneider as the screenwriters, and a production team that includes Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, and the original film’s producers, Samuel Hadida and Ed Pressman.

The tragic incident involving Brandon Lee's death on the set of the original movie is acknowledged by Sanders, who emphasized the fragility and beauty of Lee's portrayal of the Crow character. Sanders expressed that Bill Skarsgård sees himself as a successor to Lee's legacy and hopes that the late actor would be proud of the new adaptation.

'The Crow' is set to hit theaters on June 7, offering audiences a fresh take on the iconic story that pays homage to the original while bringing a new perspective to the beloved character.
