The prosecutor presented an invoice during the trial, which was prepared for reimbursement. Pecker, the defendant, clarified that the invoice was prepared by Investor Advisory Services, a company owned by a former employee of AMI who later became a consultant.

Pecker explained that he opted to use this external service for significant reimbursements due to past issues within the company. He mentioned instances where his finance department would disclose expenses to tabloid editors, such as the cost of flying a celebrity in a private jet.

Furthermore, Pecker stated that he specifically instructed the consultant to avoid having any checks from the Trump Organization processed through American Media, the parent company of AMI.
