Ali Wong was honored with the award for best performance in a new scripted series at the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her role in Netflix's Beef, which also clinched the prize for best new scripted series. During her acceptance speech, Wong expressed gratitude towards her co-star Steven Yeun, the series' creator Lee Sung Jin, and executive producer Jake Schreier, acknowledging their pivotal roles in her success. She credited her colleagues for their support, stating, 'I wouldn't be here without you. This is the best. It's been such a wonderful journey with you guys, and I'm so proud that you guys are my friends, too.'

Wong also seized the moment to commend the show's catering company, Mario's, humorously revealing their exceptional food quality that boosted morale on set. She humorously remarked, 'They have the best food, and they really kept the morale going. We had such long days.'
