Today's weather forecast brings a mix of extreme conditions across the United States. A cold front sweeping through the west is set to bring snow and strong winds to the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies. Meanwhile, the Midwest is on high alert for severe storm threats.

As the cold front advances, it is expected to intensify winds across the Front Range and into the Plains, raising concerns for fire weather. Areas such as Colorado Springs are already experiencing smoke and pop-up fires, with an elevated risk of critical fire danger in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle regions.
