Vin Diesel updates fans on Fast & Furious franchise.
Diesel expresses enthusiasm for upcoming sequel.
Fast X premiered in 2023, Fast and Furious 11 expected in 2025.
Vin Diesel recently shared an update on the Fast & Furious franchise, marking his first public statement since denying sexual assault allegations in December 2023. In an Instagram post, the 56-year-old actor expressed excitement after a meeting with the writers and team for the upcoming sequel.
Diesel emphasized the strong fan support for the saga, referring to it as a profound experience. He described the upcoming film as a grand finale and a celebration of the family built through the series.
The tenth installment, Fast X, premiered in the summer of 2023, with the rumored final film, Fast and Furious 11, expected to hit theaters in 2025.
In December, Diesel refuted claims made by a former assistant in a lawsuit alleging sexual battery. The lawsuit accused Diesel of assaulting the plaintiff in 2010, which the actor's lawyer vehemently denied, citing evidence that contradicted the allegations.
The legal complaint also included accusations of discrimination, emotional distress, and wrongful termination against Diesel, his sister, and their production company.
Representatives for Diesel and the production company did not respond to requests for comment on the matter.
Fast and Furious 11 is anticipated to be released in 2025, continuing the action-packed saga that has garnered a global following.
