King Charles III cancels public engagements for cancer treatment.
Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William will not be attending a memorial service for his godfather, the late King Constantine of Greece, due to a personal matter. The palace did not provide further details on the reason for his absence. However, it was confirmed that his wife, the Princess of Wales, who recently underwent abdominal surgery, is recovering well.
Prince William personally contacted the Greek royal family, who are present at the memorial service taking place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, to inform them of his inability to attend. King Constantine II of Greece passed away in January last year at the age of 82.
Additionally, King Charles III, who is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, will also not be in attendance at the service for his cousin. The monarch has decided to cancel all his public engagements during this period to focus on his treatment.
