Jennifer Yale has recently joined the untitled Peacock espionage thriller series as co-showrunner alongside Thomas Brandon. The series, which stars Simu Liu, received a straight-to-series order in February. The show's premise revolves around a first-generation-American intelligence analyst named Alexander Hale, played by Liu, who discovers that his brain has been hacked, granting unauthorized access to his senses. Caught in a dilemma between his agency and the mysterious hackers, he must maintain a constant facade to uncover the culprits and demonstrate his loyalty.

Yale, known for her work on Apple TV+'s 'See' and other popular shows like 'Dexter,' 'Legion,' and 'Outlander,' brings a wealth of experience to the project. She is also currently involved in developing the series 'De La Resistance,' based on the life of Josephine Baker, with A24 and Janelle Monae attached as producers.

Brandon, the series creator, will co-showrun with Yale and serve as an executive producer. Liu, in addition to his starring role, will also be an executive producer. The production team includes Wan's Atomic Monster, with Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett on board as executive producers. UCP is the studio behind the series.

This new project adds to Peacock's collaboration with Atomic Monster, following the recent order for the series 'Teacup' based on Robert McCammon's novel 'Stinger,' with Ian McCulloch as the creator and Wan as an executive producer.
