Melania Trump once again collaborated with stylist and fashion designer Hervé Pierre for her elegant evening gown. The strapless white silk dress featured thick black bands that zig-zagged across her torso and cascaded down to the floor. Pierre, the French-American designer behind the creation, also designed the cream dress Trump wore to the 2017 inauguration balls. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with her, stating that it was an 'honor' to collaborate.
The gown maintained the first lady's black-and-white theme from the swearing-in ceremony, with Pierre noting that it stayed true to her personal style and vision. In addition to serving as Trump's longtime stylist, Pierre is a renowned couture designer with experience at esteemed fashion houses like Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera. He has also designed outfits for former first ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton.
Meanwhile, second lady Usha Vance donned an embroidered dégradé gown created by New York-based Lebanese designer Reem Acra. Acra praised Vance as 'a true vision of grace and style on this monumental evening' in an email statement.
